Get Your Diversity Immigrant Visa (Green Card)
Once you have your Diversity Immigrant Visa (DV-2020), it’s time to apply for a Green Card.
To apply for a Green Card, you must live in the United States and have been granted permanent residency through the DV-2020 program.
You cannot move back home with your new visa until one year has passed since receiving it. If this happens, start over again from Step 1!
Suppose all goes well, once approved by USCIS and sent overseas on their travel documents (called “I-20”s). In that case, applicants will receive another letter from DHS stating that they are now officially legal residents of America: an immigrant visa holders!
